  • Bartenders: what's your opinion on these drinks?

I'm not 21 yet, so I don't have a good grasp on bar cocktails, but I'd like to order something more refined than Rum/Coke or Vodka/OJ when I do.

What do you think about these drinks? (how common/difficult to find, what you'll think of me, worth trying, other tips, etc.).

    Caipirinha

    Harvey Wallbanger

    Monkey's Gland

    Old Fashioned

    Americano/Negroni

    Stinger

    Manhattan

Any other drink suggestions also appreciated. Thanks!

  • Revising a Japanese poem?

Any Japanese speakers want to help go over this poem?

Please offer any suggestions to fix grammar/make it sound more natural.

We aim for the stars, aim for the moon

But I long for the days from before

I remember the times, when I would look up at the sky

Thinking "Why do birds blissfully soar?"

Just one soul, one liberated soul

    Through this blue expanse galore

    Concentrating, searching

For I can see that sky no more

  • UN New York passport stamp?

Everyone says that if you visit the United Nations HQ in New York, you can get your passport stamped (as it's international territory). I know of their post office and stamp issues, but a quick search doesn't say how/where for the passport stamp, and I can't find any pictures.

Any New Yorkers ever got their passports stamped?

  • What are O and A Levels?

First off, I'm American, so the British/Commonwealth education system is for the most part, alien to me.

I'm trying to understand these two tests(?) but I don't know of their American counterparts. Is it a class too (like AP), or just the test? What is the reason they're taken-- to graduate High School/Secondary School only? Do you earn college credit? Is it like an SAT, where you show off your score, but it has no other value? A combination?

And most of all, what's the difference?

(I know UK doesn't have O anymore; I'm learning on behalf of Singapore/Malaysia).

  • Where to buy golf clubs?

I'm just starting to play golf (three times at a range) and need to get my own iron. Doesn't have to be particularly good, but where should I look? Whats an ideal price range? Will Goodwill quality pass?

I'm a true amateur, so I won't likely notice the difference in performance.

  • Who are my state's Electoral College voters?

Just wondering where I can find out who they are. I would assume the Governor and Senators, right? Who are the rest?

  • How to get a job with little job experience?

I'm a rising college Junior, and I have a pretty blank resume.

I've done lots of volunteering since High School (including an unpaid internship), and have been heavily involved in campus life since then (at least six student groups in both HS and college).

But aside from that.. I don't have much else to put.

Some of my commitments have taken me to conferences, earned awards, and given me titles, but all were unpaid and relatively minor.

Perhaps even worse, the bulk of them are not related to my major.

So, whenever I apply for anything, I have a largely empty resume filled with irrelevant titles.

I keep my LinkedIn updated and keep checking job listings, but there are many more qualified individuals than me out there.

How am I supposed to break this cycle? Network? I don't have too many people to network with... I can get positions with non-profit groups, but its not what I'm in college for..

  • Asian-American tourists in Japan?

Just curious, how are Asian-American/Australian/British, etc tourists received in Japan? Although they appear Asian, many can't speak a word of Japanese (or Korean and Chinese for that matter).

Does it make any difference if they can speak Japanese? Anyone have any past experiences (good or bad)?

  • Credit card for college students with no income?

I'm a full time college student with no income (for obvious reasons), and doesn't receive scholarships, grants, loans, or financial aid. I do have financial assistance from my parents (as their dependent).

Am I eligible to apply for credit cards still, considering all the changes since 2010 for minors/no income folks? And would I be eligible without a co-signer? I don't plan on using it, just want to build my credit.

  • Team Malaysia Jerseys?

I want to buy a jersey from Team Malaysia/Malaya, and I saw this one: http://www.various-jerseys-wholesale.com/pic/20115...

... but there's also an orange one I saw too, not sure for what team. Malaysia National Football/Harimau Malaya = Yellow, Orange might be the Olympic team?

Any ideas on where to get either one online? I live in the US, so it would have to be able to ship worldwide, and if its a copy, not too poorly made. Something around RM100 preferably.

  • LinkedIn: Use bullets or paragraph?

For the 'More Information' portions of Previous Experience, is it advisable to use bullet points, or just lay out a short paragraph?

Speaking of paragraph, how much is too much? (in terms of lines/bullets).

    Any ideas?

  • Addressing a Job Cover Letter?

I'm writing a cover letter that's needed for a job application, but there's no name for the job recruiter. How do I address them? Is 'Job Recruiter' too plain? Is there something usually used?

  • One day tour in Seoul?

I'm going to have a stopover at Incheon Airport for one day/one night (arrive late evening, hotel, depart next evening) and have roughly a day to explore the city.

How long does it take from Incheon Airport to the downtown area? Via subway, bus, taxi, and roughly their costs?

And more importantly, what should I see? I would like to see more of the modern sections, but places like Insadong, Namdaemun, and Gwanghwamun are also of interest.

  • What is this word? In any language?

Most every language has a term for nightmare, but what is the word for the opposite? (aka, a good dream that you enjoy).

There doesn't seem to be any answer in English. Are there in other languages?

A little unsure about what exactly happened... did it affect the views of markets to exclude societal and cultural effects (externalities), or did it take them into account more (Marx and Mills)?

How did it change the future of markets?
