Why would taking oestrogen cause hip pain after hysterectomy?
My immediate thoughts are: increased platelet aggregation, osteopenia (seems unlikely), growth of pelvis or ectopic endometrial tissue. Any thoughts?

Correlation doesn't equal causation. Could just be coincidence. Or could have nothing to do with estrogen. The amount of estrogen a woman takes after surgical menopause (I assume that's what you're talking about here, and that you didn't mean only hysterectomy) is much lower than a woman would normally have. So that's a huge change you've undergone. Low estrogen can cause joint pain because the stuff that cushions your joints has thinned and weakened. Other reasons might be that without the uterus supporting the internal organs, everything kind of repositions and different loads are taken on by different muscles. Just slightly, but the change could cause pain that will go away with time and with exercise to strengthen abdominal muscles. The surgery itself has damaged abdominal muscles and you'll need to strengthen them again. Also could be scar tissue from the surgery. And endometrial tissue, as you mention. The estrogen you're taking will encourage endometrial growth, even though you no longer have a uterus. If you're like every other woman with endometriosis I know who has had a hysterectomy and oophorectomy, the doctor removed the uterus and all visible endometrial implants. But if you use estrogen, those implants will grow back because the doc can't remove them all.

If you really feel this way then you should find a new doctor. About the bleeding.. you might have to get your reproductive organs removed because the cysts could of spread and infected the whole area. Do not trust my opinion just yet though. Go find someone else that will actually help treat you and go see a gynecologist for further information about your sex problems. Hope things go better for you.
