Erythema Multiforme Querey?

So I just got diagnosed with this lovely immune system disorder, and being so lucky as I am, I fall into the <10 % who have it due to medications. That same 10% also tend to develop to the major form, with mucous membrane sores and lesions. Oh joy of joys.

So I guess my question is, if anyone on here has it, knows someone who does, or practices medicine and knows a bit about it...

What is the recurrence rate? I saw on dermznet that it can have multiple flare ups a years for many years. But does it go into a dormant stage similar to plaque psoriasis, or is it one of those things that will trigger at any old slight? Thanks in advance.

Erythema multiforme when triggered by drugs does not usually recur. It is usually a one off thing. However if no cause can be identified, yes recurrent infection is possible.
