what sense does a "one last time" make?
Me and this dude love each other but he has major issues with commitment. Does not believe he deserves to be happy. I'm getting older and spent 7 years with him and he refuses to marry me. So we split for sometime, but we are viscerally attracted to each other. We cant be near each other without things getting real intimate. We've decided to be together "one last time" with the understanding that as soon as we do it once we gonna want to do it again...

Hello, Stephanie W!
In response to your title question, "what sense does a 'one last time' make?" Well, none.
You will have innumerable "last times" until you grow weary of enabling a man who considers commitment akin to wearing a porcupine suit and walk away. There's no hope for this misbegotten relationship and you know it, but I also understand the sexual pull of futility--it's never dull. But you have the power to get off this Ferris wheel and move on with you life.
