Best air rifle for me?
I'm looking for a air rifle that's under 7lb/3kg which would be capable of 25m target shooting, I would like it to be able to take small animals potentially up to rabbits. What calibre is best i think .177 is more accurate for target shooting but does it have the power of .22 for other shooting. I'd be shooting iron sights and I'm quite small so a preferably light rifle would be nice but still meet my requirements. I'd like it to be >£200 also I've seen weihrauchs but don't which one would best. Any ideas?

In your price range I generally recommend a S/H Weihrauch HW35 or BSA Supersport
The Supersport weighs around 6.6lbs, the HW35 around 8.4lbs
Both have iron sights
Obviously the Supersport meets your weight requirement, the HW35 is a bit heavy
Both will deliver good(hunting) accuracy out to around 35 yards
the .177 is less expensive to shoot, and with average weight(8gr) pellets will give you a better trajectory, than the .22 shooting 14gr pellets.
Hunting small game(rabbit, squirrel) with an air rifle requires precise shot placement(head). So accuracy trumps any slight advantage in terminal performance one pellet(or caliber) might have over another.

The Supersport and HW35 are good air rifles.
Also within your price range, you may be able to find a nice S/H Weihrauch HW80**. Which IMO is one of the world's best. But, it does weigh around 8.8lbs

.177 is more accurate for target shooting because of the flatter trajectory. However, a .22 delivers much more energy to the target because of the greater mass of the pellet and the bigger cross section.
So if you have any intention to hunt go for a .22 and practise so you can kill cleanly with one shot.
With a rabbit the only clean shot is to the head, just behind the eye. If you can't do that don't hunt. A wounded bunny will make it back to its burrow and die a slow death.

Id say get a gamo varmiter super accurate and its .177 but its 1400 fps making it as powerful as a 1200 fps .22 and it can shoot out to 100 yards accurately and its 300 US dollars
