Unfortunately, the decade you are restricting movie picks to is not a high water mark for film greatness. With 100 years of film making the best movies aren't limited to one single decade, and quite frankly, they knew how to make movies better in the 20th Century.

The best movie I've ever seen is from 1968.

The best "recent" movie I've seen is probably There Will Be Blood from 2007.

I'd have to say Epic. I just love that movie saw it in the theatures and it rocks. I can't wait to own it when it comes out on dvd just loved it if you haven't seen it you should.

Warrior (2011) is the best movie I've ever seen. It stars Nick Nolte, Tom Hardy, and Joel Edgerton. It's about brothers who haven't seen each other in 14 years but then end up in the same area and both become interested in MMA. Here's it's imdb.com link:
