4 balls, but infinite fouls unless, with 2 strikes, the ball is bunted foul.

As already state, a pitcher can pitch a maximum of 4 balls (which is an automatic walk) but the batter has no limits on foul balls/foul tips unless it is a two-strike count and the batter foul tips it into the catchers' glove - strike 3.

The batter can have an infinite amount of foul balls, but they count as strikes. Once the count gets to 2 strikes although, fouling off a pitch will keep the count at 2 strikes. If the batter bunts a foul ball with 2 strikes, then he is out.

If a pitcher throws four balls to a batter (doesnt have to be in any order) then the batter is granted first base, also known as a base on balls (scored as BB).

4 balls is a walk but there can be an infinite number of foul balls, causing marathon at-bats of 10 or more pitches.

4 balls but infinite foul strikes unless bunting and fouling with two strikes.

You can have 4 balls until you walk and as many foul balls as the batter hits. Just remember a foul ball counts as a strike until the second strike. When you have two strikes on the batter, the foul balls count as nothing.
