Why is it that so many people blame God for the wickedness in this world today? Why not Satan the Devil?

Well people blame God because they forget that God gave them Freewill to do whatever that wanted, That's called being an absolutely free being. But God made rules and if you break those rules then there will be consequences. Hey He is the creator and can do what ever he wishes so I don't question it. The Devil decided his fate and now is bitter and will take every person with him that he can. God is good and really is not the cause for most things going on. The blame is the Devil and Man himself. The Devil can only influence us, but we decide if we want to carry out the action. Freewill can be good, but also evil in the hands of Man and angels because we can decide to obey or not.

Satan cannot do anything (not even sneeze) without God's permission. See Job. And Satan's demonic wrecking crew had to "flee" when Jesus told them to. Don't give Satan so much credit.

God is a God of love, AND He is a God of wrath. The God of the Old Testament is the SAME God in the New Testament. Read Revelation.

God even gave King Saul a "tormenting" spirit. 1 Samuel 16:15

God will also destroy any nation that comes against Jerusalem. Zechariah 2:9

God sent plagues. God hardened Pharaoh's heart. Exodus 7:13 And I can go on and on.

Just like Satan cannot "make" anyone do anything. He can "only" tempt them. Man makes the choice to either entertain the temptation or not to.

One thing must be clearly understood in James 1:13 and that is that when we are tempted to sin, the temptation does not come from God. God "does" test and/or try men, as far as their faith is concerned, but He never tempts a man to commit any form of evil. he Himself has no dealings with evil, and He does not entice to sin.

God is in "complete" control of this universe and everything in it. He doesn't sit up in some celestial recliner watching the earth saying, "Oh my! Satan did it again. He caused more death and destruction! What am I going to do?"

God is... Omniscient:

He has infinite knowledge; He knows everything.

God is... Omnipresent:

He is present everywhere at the same time.

God is... Omnipotent:

God has unlimited power; and is able to do anything.

God even sends diseases, Deut. 29;22, 29.

God has had a profound plan before the foundations of the earth. And He certainly doesn't have to explain to His finite creation why He does, what He does. However, God is setting up the stage for the second coming of Jesus Christ. God causes and/or allows things to happen for His Divine "good" purpose and our ultimate benefit. Regardless, He knows all too well why things happen the way they do.

God's principles of life are universal and non-optional. Everyone in the world is subject to them whether they believe it or not. If a person he/she obeys God's principles, rewards/blessings. If a person he/she disobey God's principles, curses/consequences. Therefore, man is also responsible for the choices they make...freewill.

And, these benefits or consequences also affect children and grandchildren. Exodus 20:5

Please show me chapter and verse where God is surprised by anything Satan does. Show me chapter and verse where God shows that Satan has "any" control over humanity, the earth, etc. Satan may be the prince of this world, but the prince can do nothing without the King's permission. Can't blame Satan, nor God for...everything. Man is the one who rebelled against God in the first place. God cursed Adam, cursed Eve, cursed Satan, and cursed the earth. Man blames God for 'everything' because it was Adam who first blamed God for giving him ...Eve. Think about that. "God! If you hadn't given me this woman, I wouldn't have eaten the fruit." And so, the blame game still goes on.

Even people that claim to not believe in God blame him for things. It's as crazy as the people who ,every once in awhile, get the idea that killing all the Jews would solve the world's problems.

The reason is simple. Satan IS really working hard, and he has his human associates working double-time as well to lessen the amount of people following God and increase the degrading of our world, people, and our societies. He is readying the world to accept the fake "world teacher" when he shows up; the Anti-Christ.

Yahoo! Answers is a good measure of this, even with the artificial interference by bored anti-God people.

All of this matches up with prophecy. As one good black pastor said (and I wish I knew his name), "We hate to see all this evil happening in our world, but we have to remember that these bad things must happen to bring about the end of this age of the Earth. After this, God will make the world freshly into a paradise. But, in order for all this to end, it has to actually End."

So true. I hate to see our world's people being guided toward increasing evil and deception, but that is what must happen to bring about the end of all this and a wonderful new beginning.

Didn't God create the angels? Lucifer was once one. His name even means "Bearer of Light". But he turned away from God and took many other angels with him. God has always had a plan to save us and to defeat Satan. But He wants to give us humans a chance to turn to him. God didn't want to create auto-humans who automatically do his will. That is why He created the angels. If a human turns away from evil and follows God by his own will, how happy and glad God is! That's why he gave us free will. Many choose Satan without realizing it or believing in him.

Well, I don't blame any imaginary beings for anything. Because it's rather silly.

However, if you claim the "god of the bible" exists, then you'd have to hold him responsible for "wickedness" -- in the bible storybook, he directly SAYS he's responsible:

"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."

Isaiah 45:7

So if you say "Satan" is responsible, you're contradicting your claimed god.

Unfortunately, too many people blame "the Devil" or "Satan" for their own actions and ignorance. The world will be a much better place when people accept responsibility for their own feelings, thoughts, speech and actions!

They all Atheists that want to prove God does not exist and God is horrible.
