Since there's no system in place to confirm income, who's going to get their insurance subsidized?!?

You could be a millionaire and get your health insurance subsidized, they have no way to check this, because this law is hot mess.

Will you be getting your subsidy?

I will try to sort out your question though it is rather muddled. Medicare is used by anyone over 65 no matter how wealthy including millionaires in Congress. There is no income limit so there is no reason to check.

If you are not talking about Medicare and you are talking about Obamacare insurance mandate, when you file a tax return you submit your W2 with your income on it. That is how your tax credit subsidy is calculated. If you dont file a tax return but dont qualify for Medicaid, you still can buy insurance from the state exchange and get a refund. The exchange probably records your SSN.

I've looked into the exchange in California and all the policies are shytty .

They have this 50/50 and 60/40 coverage offered . As if 80/20 isn't enough of an expense as it is.

I'd rather have a decent policy than be subsidized.

Source(s): Only policies on the exchange are subsidized and they are the shyt policies that don't sell otherwise.

Really. Have you heard of filing taxes every year? This is a part of the system that can easily determine how much you make every single year.

I think the IRS has it covered as to having a system to confirm income.

Work for cash only and never file income tax.

That's part of the plan. It will give them an excuse to hire another 30,000 IRS agents!

The IRS can compare what you claim with your tax return.
