What are some good anime/manga?

Try a rather recent and new anime called, "Attack on Titan" (in English) or "Shingeki no Kyojin" (in Japanese). It's rated "best anime of 2013" and I think it is. I've watched it myself and it's very addicting however though, it is an ongoing anime and there's only 16 episodes (17 by of tomorrow).

You can also read the manga of course too, and it's about 47 "chapters" long. But sadly, it takes a month to update since the chapters are about 40-50 pages long.

So let me tell you what it is first. Set in a world where humanity lives inside cities surrounded by enormous walls due to the Titans, gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason. The story centers around Eren Yeager, his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman, and their friend Armin Arlert, whose lives are changed forever after the appearance of a colossal titan brings about the destruction of their home town and the death of Eren's mother. Vowing revenge and to reclaim the world from the Titans, Eren, Mikasa and Armin join the Recon Corps, an elite group of soldiers who fight Titans outside the walls. [Wikipedia]

Interesting, huh? I think so. Watch it! You certainly won't regret it! :D

I'd say definitely try Attack On Titan if you're not already watching it. It's probably the best new anime I started this year. The genres are Horror, Dystopia, Tragedy so it might not be your cup of tea.

Death Note is one of the most intelligent anime I've ever seen. And Elemental Gelade is really sad and touching.

I would suggest HighSchool DxD which is one that I recently found about and is pretty good in my opinion ask me if you want anymore suggestions and what kind of anime like action or something. And they have it dubbed for season 1 :)
