Is Illinois de-regulating nail technology?

Many of the schools in Illinois that once offered a nail tech course such as Pivot Point and Mario Tricoci are no longer offering this program. Has a decision been made to do away with professionally regulating nail techs in Illinois? I can't find any information about this on the IDPR website. Thanks!

    With a nail shop in every little strip mall, and a nail tech school nearly everywhere, pretty soon techs and tech schools aren't making money because there is too much competition.

    Guess they were not profitable enough.
