If you were an adult in at a kids bowling would you expect to bowl?

Thinking of hosting a bowling birthday party for my 4 year old. Of course, I will pay for all of the kids, but I don't want to pay for the adults to bowl- it isn't really for them. My expectation would be that the adults either don't bowl or they cover the cost themselves. Does this seem rude? Should I say something on the invitation?

Update:

@Henry- Yes my 4yo loves bowling! On the East Coast there is such a thing called duckpin bowling with very small balls suitable for little kids. They do bowling parties at the local lane around $14 bucks a kid.

No I would not. When my niece was turning 6 she had a bowling party. The parents helped the kids bowl and but they did not bowl themselves. Aiding a small child in bowling and keeping an eye on them was more than enough for us to do. My sister-in law did provide enough food and drinks for the parents as well which I thought was appropriate.

Why would an adult want to bowl at a kid's party? They have bumpers for the kids. It isn't a true game of bowling. There is no challenge.

If the adults want to bowl, that's fine. Away from the party and away from the kids. You are not paying for them to bowl.

4 years of age seems a bit young to me, but it is up to you. Has your 4 year old gone bowling before? Does he/she like it?

Why would you have to pay for all the kids...you would be just getting a couple of lanes, am I right? Ask the manager at the bowling facility what can be done.

No. It is a kids party. I wouldn't expect to bowl. I wouldn't pay for the adults they should have enough common Sense to know its a kids party.

I would be shocked if any parents wanted to bowl. Being that they're young kids, parents might hang around - have some coffee, maybe some veggies and enough cake for everyone.

No. It's a kids party. I wouldn't expect to be included.
