Do you attend a church? What scriptures have been reading? Have you read those that describe His love for us? Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 1 John 3:16

The Lord of glory took upon Himself a "robe of flesh"and became a man for the express purpose of dying for our sins. Does He sound like a tyrant to you? Think about it.

    STILL HE WALKED

He could hear the crowds screaming

    "crucify" "crucify"...

He could hear the hatred in their voices,

    these were His chosen people.

    He loved them,

And they were going to crucify Him.

    He was beaten;

    bleeding and weakened...

    His heart was broken,

    but still

    He walked.

He could see the crowd as He came from the palace.

He knew each of the faces so well.

    He had created them.

He knew every smile, laugh, and shed tear,

but now they were contorted with rage and anger...

    His heart broke,

    but still

    He walked.

    Was He scared?

You and I would have been.

So His humanness would have mandated that He was.

    He felt alone.

His disciples had left, denied, and even betrayed Him.

He searched the crowd for a loving face

    and He saw very few.

Then He turned His eyes to the only One that mattered

and He knew that He would never be alone.

He looked back at the crowd,

at the people who were spitting at Him,

    throwing rocks at Him

    and mocking Him

    and He knew

    that because of Him,

    they would never be alone.

    So for them,

    He walked.

    The sounds of the hammer

striking the spikes echoed through the crowd.

The sounds of His cries echoed even louder,

    The cheers of the crowd,

    as His hands and feet

    were nailed to the cross,

    intensified with each blow.

    Loudest of all

    was the still small voice

    inside His heart that whispered

"I am with you, My Son",

    And God's heart broke.

    He had let

    His Son walk.

Jesus could have asked God to end His suffering,

    but instead

    He asked God to forgive.

    Not to forgive Him,

but to forgive the ones who were persecuting Him.

As He hung on that cross,

    dying an unimaginable death,

    He looked out and saw,

not only the faces in the crowd,

    but also,

the face of every person yet to be,

and his heart filled with love.

    As His body was dying,

    His heart was alive.

Alive with the limitless, unconditional love

He feels for each of us.

    That is why He walked.

When I forget how much My God loves me,

    I remember His walk.

When I wonder if I can be forgiven,

    I remember His walk.

When I need to be reminded of how to live like Christ,

    I think of His walk.

And to show Him how much I love Him,

    I wake up each morning,

    turn my eyes to Him,

    And I walk.

There seems to e a misunderstanding on your part about who God is and what He's done. You see it as such, because you have absolutely no idea why He's done the things He's done. vengeful, wrathful? I say JUST. Covets what exactly? Kills who exactly? He's both a do as I say and as I do. Christ, came to fulfill the law and calls us to imitate Him.

God is a do as you please type of God, you choose to follow Him, or not. Your choice is the final judge. IF you deny Him and His will in your life, you will most likely go to you know where. But ultimately it will be your choice not His. Freewill is the most loving thing God ever gave us.

If you have no idea what you are talking about, you probably shouldn't put your $0.02.

Stop following other's views and research yourself what you choose to believe. I can sit here and tell you why you should worship my dog. But you wouldn't just follow that right? You would research why I think my dog is the god you should worship right?

I bet you can't even mention without researching where God was being vengeful or wrathful.

You can't sum up something like God in such a silly question. You're not looking at the reasons for what happened in the Bible. Rather just a question to create conflict.

Example: God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah b/c many people were indulging in beastaility, orgies, and many law breaking acts. They were warned, but didn't listen. He didn't do it because he was bored or anything, there were solid reasons.

    1. Everything has a reason

    2. Read the full story, sounds like you just made up the question to ask randomly.

    3. Give an example not a list without sources or information

First of all "the church" (whatever that means) says no such thing. We aren't God. God didn't create us to be Gods. We can't do as He does. He sent Jesus to give us an example of how to live and I assure you Jesus never coveted, or killed. Jesus showed how a man could live a life without sin.

Do as I say AND do as I do. G-d is merciful, compassionate, generous, loving, forgiving... Everyone should strive to be a better person by listening to and following G-d's ways.

He is more of a "lead, follow, or get out of the way" sort of God. He does what he can for us, but we have to cooperate if we want to be deified.

Definitely a "do as I say, not as I do" attitude which sets the poorest of examples.

God does his actions within righteousness, love, power, and wisdom, while you do yours within evil. It is as simple as that.

If we did what God did, there wouldn't be any of us left.
