Can plasti dip protect your car's paint from rock chips?

It seems kinda thin to do so compared to vinyl wraps.

    CK,

I don't think it's the thinness that will get you but the goopiness will. Not really made for large scale spraying.

3M now produces a product that you can spray on yourself. I believe it's supposed to last a year or two then you peel it off and spray on a new one.

Here's a link to it on Amazon so you can read some reviews, also consider going to the 3m site to read up on it.

I'd have adopted the bus except I acquired the license, called the university district and instructed them what happened, known as my insurance manufacturer's investigator, giving him all the knowledge and let them work it out. I then would have written an vast letter to the university district, giving them the license and time of the incident and which side of the bus the rock used to be thrown from. The youngsters throughout the bus saw what happened and i'd have anybody query them unless the perpetrator used to be observed. I might then try and find the dad and mom of that child and have their insurance pay for it if the tuition district's coverage did'nt quilt it, b ut I consider they'll. I might be so steaming irritated!! I feel you did the right thing on the time.

Well it may help protect a little bit, but I mean with plasti dip, a rock will rip off the plasti dip then you'll have to re spray it and then it may look like a wacky paint job.
