--My Rating: 8/10 "Amazing, has a very deep plot that always keeps you guessing. This manga will keep you thinking for years to come. Amazing quality!"

Puella Magi Madoka Magica

--Action, Tragedy, Drama, (A little school life), (a little romance), Shoujo

--My Rating: 10/10 "This has to be the one of the greatest manga/anime I have ever read/watched. It is a Magical Girl manga, but is NOT generic at all. There is a new twist at every turn, and characters you can't help but get attached to. There is a good amount of angst/tragedy, but that has to be there to unravel the plot. This is an entire deconstruction of the magical girl genre-- It asks the questions- 'What are the motives of those contractors or magical cats?' 'What are the terms?' 'What do I lose in the end?' 'What is the end effect on the world?!' This is a MUST SEE/READ!!!!"

Angel Beats

--Action, Romance, School Life, Drama, Shounen/Shoujo (Hard to put my finger on it..)

--My Rating: 9.5/10 "This is a perfect mix of the above genres ^^. Life after death isn't a new concept in an anime, but this takes the cake. It isn't too cliche, it's original. I would reccomend watching the anime instead of reading the manga, but it's fine either way. This is a must-see, along with the above two."

Teito is caught eavesdropping and tries to attack Ayanami but is quickly brought down by one of his subordinates and sent to prison. Mikage comes to help him escape, only to find that Teito has managed to fight past the guards by himself. The two flee the building but are cornered on a balcony. Teito pretends to hold Mikage hostage, then makes his escape, though he is wounded by a Zaiphon blast that Ayanami directs at him. Three bishops in the nearby 7th District discover the injured Teito and take him to a nearby church to recuperate, where he is protected because of the 7th District's law of sanctuary.
