When am I getting my period??? PLZ help!!! Story below.?

So I'm 13 1/2 and I wanted to ask if I am getting my period. My mom got hers when she was in 8th grade. She also showed me how to wear a pad etc. And I'm going into eighth grade. I have symtoms such as Discharge. And I've been getting that for 1-1/2 years. And it's annoying. Also my back hurts and my stomach kils. I wear a training bra. And my boobs are not tiny. They have been growing out their nipples for a month now. And my mom thinks I might get it this year. I'm really excited because I wanna become a women ASAP :). Also can you PLZ EXPLAIN IN SIMPLE WORDS cuz when I search in google they give hard and big words. And most of my classmates got theirs already -.- thanks in advance!!!!!!! B

Update:

Oh yes I have pubic hair. I really shave every week and I have armpit hair which is growing slowly

Update 2:

Lol every one tells me that but seriously. I wanna know if I am going to get it or no. And my mom said I can wear a padded bra once I get my period.

I got my period when i was 11 some of my friends didn't get theirs until they were 14/15. It really depends on the person. As you have pubic hair and have developed breasts that shows that you are well on you way to the end of puberty so a period will not be far behind.

Also discharge does not mean you are getting your period. Vaginal discharge is acidic and it is the vagina way of keeping itself clean as the acidic discharge kills bacteria. Discharge can increase during puberty, ovulation and from infection (don't worry you im not saying you have a yeast infection or anything) but like i said discharge is vital to the health of your vagina so you will always have it, these are just times when you have more than normal

Also your back hurting doesnt mean periods either, it is more than likely from your breasts or bad posture.

Generally the most common sign of an impending period are cramps, they kind of feel like poo pains (i don't know if you have ever had constipation, wind pains or cramping from diarrhea but this is what cramps feel like). They can also get very painful, i used to be doubled over with mine for the first 24hours of a period, mine were also so heavy that even changed my pads constantly didn't help, i used to have to take changes of pants and skirts to school incase i showed through (which usually happened) in the end my doctor put me on the pill to help control it (so if it ever gets too painful or heavy you can see your doctor about going on the pill which helps regulate your cycle).

I can understand you wanting to start your periods but this doesn't mean you are a women (this require emotional maturity not just physical, so just remember that) but i know what its like to want to be the same as everyone else and feel more feminine and grown up because i was there once.

Also for future advice if you get your period and you end up getting it every 2 weeks or get it one month and then it stops for a couple of months just remember that this is normal, sometimes once periods start they can takes a few months or even a year to settle down and get regular

why would you wanna get your period? getting your period sucks! wearing a pad all the time and period stinks so much. and when you wanna swim, you have to wear a tampon, and i have leaked before and it got on my panties and stuff, its worse if you have it during school, be lucky you don't have your period yet. and if your boobs arn't tiny, maybe you should wear a cup bra so your nippples won't show, because if they do....thats embaressing. and i know you wanna be a women but you should enjoy what you have now, it will all be gone soon. life will be harder being a women is tough. haha

I'm only seventeen, getting your period might sound exciting but once you get it, it's a lot more pain than what you planned for. I suggest you enjoy your time without one and stop worrying about becoming a women! Because once you are there's a lot more to worry about! Stay young. :)
