Why dont drug lords quit when they are ahead?

I mean you already have your money laundered with twice as much in cash sitting around. In a poor country you can already live like a king, I don't understand why not just quit, take the money and vamonos.

    Because they love the feel of having so much power and basically be a top contributor in a billion dollar industry

    They don't know when to quit, greed is a self-supporting monster. They think it's easier than working.
