People are buying residences as an LLC -- I wonder why?
In my (rust-belt) city people are buying houses but not as individuals -- the buyer of a house at 123 Main St. is listed as, for example, "123 Main St. LLC." What could that mean, and why? Thanks for any info.

that means a company bought it as a rental.
