Titans are originally humans?

In the manga im following, theres a chapter where a titan is just lying immobilized in a village and not moving,when the people come they thought its already dead(which im sure not) and a boy from that place claims that that titan looks like her mom(he heard the titan calls his name),before that, theres a scene at the same place where an old woman was eaten by a small titan(not fully eaten,just her leg half eaten) and shes paralyzed and cant move too,thats why she cant run from the titan. So do human able to turn into titan with that factor? How did Eren capable of transforming into titan in the first place?

No i found out a major spoiler i mean major i interviewed with the writer of the magna and he said a doctor 100 years ago had a specific religon and the other people did not like it so they burned down his house killed his family leaving him to suffer and now this is where he gets his revenge. He has made a serum to make a titan army. And the titans were all dumb because he didnt want them over powering him. Any way this was succeeded by him putting the serum in the food supply this caused them to turn into titans but what abput the docter of course the docter turns himself intoo aaa super titan aka THE APE TITAN!! This was major. And guess who comes across the serum in the basement... yeah u got it eren and erens dad.ok now for the reason y titans eat humans the dr. Wanted to get his revenge. That caused them to eat them and the poisunose food is still ravashing across the land. Well i hope this helped many people. Goodbye and if u have any quedtions just ask me ok goodbye.
