How soon after a neighbor sprays herbicide weed killer is it safe to go outside?

As soon as I saw a neighbor beginning to spray a heavy duty week killer, I went into the house. How soon will the airborne effects go away so I won't be breathing in the stuff?

Well this depends on a number of factors. Type of herbicide, Amount used, method of application. Weather conditions. Herbicides are dangerous and ought to be treated with respect.

If he watered after application then most of it was removed from the air. But you should learn what compounds was sprayed from your neighbor.

If it is one of those store bought sprays, you are already fine. Any residual spray would have already dispersed.

I commend you for being diligent about your health.
