Can medicinal marijuana prevent Alzheimer's Disease?
I've learned that the CBD components of Cannibis can repair and protect vital parts of the brain, but can it treat or prevent those who suffer from Alzheimer's disease.

I haven't seen anything conclusive on it as of yet. The list of things that MMJ can assist with is actually quite small.

It's ridiculous to even suggest it. Name one study that shows ANYTHING that can prevent Alzheimer's disease, much less marijuana. The last thing you'd want to put in the hands of someone with severe dementia is a lit joint. Absurd.

A recent study of cannabinoid treatment in mice was promising: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S...
But that's about it - from this you cannot conclude that smoking pot prevents or cures Alzheimer's in humans.
