Why do people blame Obama for everything?

When in reality congress has all the power to make the changes that would benefit the country, they just don't want to cooperate with Obama. He has tried to get things done that would help the country recover, but the republicans (and yes, it is them) in congress, the house, and the senate are willing to do anything in order for Obama's policy's to not be instilled. Even shutting down the government.

I get amazed by the right blaming Obama for things that were clearly Bush's fault. I can't tell if they are really that stupid or are just being intellectually dishonest. 1. Bush inherited a $ 500 billion surplus from Clinton. 2. Bush let 9-11 happen, he started 2 needless wars as a result, then cut taxes for billionaires. 3. Huge surplus becomes huge deficit. 4. Obama is elected. 5. Voila, the deficit Bush created is somehow Obama's responsibility? Its totally absurd. What makes it worse, everything Obama tries to do to counteract the Bush disaster the Republicans in congress oppose. Why? They don't want him to succeed. They don't want him to get the credit. They want him to fail, which means America fails and millions of families also fail, so they can blame him. It is the ultimate in cynical selfish politics, it amounts to destroying the country for your own political advantage. This is just plain evil.

Sorry, Dy. But no. The one in charge has all the responsibility. When you write congress, you mean House. The House is Republican, the Senate is Democrat. Both the senate & the house is referred to as congress when they meet together. Obama has lost some of his policy due to Democrats not voting for it. Even Reid has not voted for what the president wanted 100% of the time. As Truman said, & even had a sign on his desk, the buck stops here.

How can you claim success without taking responsibility?

Obama is a complete failure. Democrats had complete control of the House and Senate at the beginning of Obama's presidency. Even a filibuster proof majority. They still could not get much passed. Even some democrats were reluctant to approve Obama's proposals. What they did get passed proved to be complete failures.

It is the Democrats who have refused to negotiate in good faith and make any compromise.

Obama's presidency has been an education to people paying any attention at all that the presidency is basically a figurehead role, not a highly powerful, monarch-like one.

This should cheer those against a concentration of power in one individual.

The problem of power concentrating in the hands of 100 stupid old men... that will cheer no one but stupid people.

That's where YA's righties come in.

In case you didn't know, even the Democrats don't agree with Obama most of the time.

Because the media tell them to.

You are now introduced to the childish mentality of the Right-wing.

If you want confirmation of that mentality, just read some of their answers on this thing!

Not true. We give him credit for the job he has done. It it not my fault that a lot of his work is a failure and he is given credit for the failure.

The problem is that Obama ignores the Congress and does whatever he pleases

Perhaps because the buck stops at the President's desk.
