Can anyone give a single example of a Tea Party meeting being racist?

Just one (1) example. One. Singular. One. Just one time it has happened.

Update:

The peanuts thing is a lie. The sign carriers are NOT people who attend Tea Party meetings.

Also The Tea Party is not a political Party.

Wow, the deafening silence of Libtard hypocrisy.

Sure, some racists show up at TP rallies, but they're escorted out. The ones with offensive signs are asked to put them away.

The lying Congressmen of the racist CBC lied about being called offensive names to promulgate their claims of racism. Even when offered a $100k reward for ANY recorded proof of racism from the hundreds of newsmen and citizens with cameras & phones, no proof could be found.

Like it or not libtards, the TP is not racist. It is about reducing government (D or R) waste, corruption and fraud. Just because THIS government happens to be the MOST corrupt, dishonest one in history....that doesn't make the TP's fault. If the only thing you dishonest democrap libs can do is LIE about people who don't want excess spending, you've proven your self-worth.

I don't think many people who make the claim of the Tea Party being racist make that claim because of the meetings. The people in my circles who make that claim, make that claim because of the protests that the Tea Party conducts.

When the president comes to town, the national media follows him. The local media attends the event as well. The Tea Party makes plans to show up and protest the president - which is a constitutionally guaranteed freedom. Most tea partiers carry signs about Obamacare or the IRS - which is also fine. However, some carry signs telling Obama to go back to Kenya, calling him Muslim, or something questioning his birth, or in AZ last week calling him a black sheep. Some of these personal attacks, that have nothing to do with policy, are seen by black people outside of the Tea Party as personal attacks that are nominally racist. The Tea Party always has two responses to this. First, blame the media. It was unforeseeable that the White House press corps which has existed for over 50 years might be carrying any video recording equipment. Second, claim that the bad signs were Democratic plants. There are 10 people waving the signs who don't know the media is coming and can't tell the one guy with a sign with a watermelon on it to put the sign down. If there's one word to describe Tea Partiers when it comes to protests, that word isn't "meek". To outsiders, this inaction is seen as if not endorsing nominally racist messages, then at least being tolerant of those messages.

The government officially says that the Tea Party was given scrutiny in 2010 by the IRS because these groups were new and they needed extra info to accurately process those requests. You don't trust them when they say that - and you aren't required to trust them. Similarly, when there are signs depicting Obama as a monkey at a Tea Party rally, you say that the signs aren't from official Tea Partiers. If this was still 2009, you might be given the benefit of the doubt by most minorities. However, it's been 4 years of the same signs and the same excuses. Minorities don't trust you - and the Tea Party has yet to earn that trust.

Judging Tea Partiers only by the words of their meetings would be nice if all politics was that way. In 2016, the Dems and GOP candidates for president should only be judged by the official platform of their conventions and the statements made by their campaigns. Dems should not link the GOP candidate to any other Republican past or present - including Bush. The GOP shouldn't link the Democrat candidate to any other Democrat past or present - including Obama. In the real world, politics are linked to actions and events, not just official press releases and shiny websites.

the only people who you are going to hear accuse tea party members or meetings as racist are obama supporters because it is there best defense- just toss out the racist card and everyone scatters. yet zimmerman who was accused of being racist is hispanic yet he was labeled a "white-hispanic" why?? to fuel the racist card that was being tossed out.

When Tea Party members threw peanuts at blacks at GOP convention. The real problems: you knew that, you're happy with that, and you think the rest of us don't remember that.
