What's the difference between:" live it! " and "live it up!"?

For Canada's Summer Games they translated the French "Vivez!" to the English "Live it!" English is not my first language but to me it would sound better "Live it up!"

Update:

But what does " live it" really mean in English. I couldn't find it in my dictionary. I only found: live down; live in; live out; live with; live it up; live up to.

Update 2:
