what is deindividuation?
I need to know what it means from a psychological standpoint. i also would like to know how it could tie into a scenario where an adolescent would damage property on halloween if he didn't get candy while wearing a mask, but if you know the definition and what it is that helps too. thanks

well, i just looked up the word and apparently there's no definition. just from my little dictionary source on my computer. google it and see what you can find.
this is what it says about individuation though: the quality of being individual. so maybe it means either making yourself into less of an individual (focusing on others) OR, from what ive experienced with many friends, making someone feel like less of an individual (putting them down, building yourself up, not letting them get a word in, making yourself seem more important or more complex). do you know anyone like that? that makes you feel like less of a person. i could see that being deindividuation, but i might be wrong
