Do you think calling a black person "Chocolate" is offensive?
Yes, no, why?
I found an article where Naomi Campbell got mad over it but I've always felt no animosity or racism or any malice towards people saying it.

If they called a white person chocolate, why would I care?
If they called a black person chocolate, why should they care?

I've always black people say it themselves, as a sexual term. "Do you prefer vanilla or chocolate?" In other words, do you want a white or a black man/woman? Usually in film, not real life.
As for calling others chocolate, I don't know...I never really thought about it. I think there's a time and place for anything, I mean if its just a joke, I'm sure its okay. All races joke about each other.
I don't think you could ever call a black person chocolate in a serious conversation....that would be really weird lol

I think it really depends on the person and the situation. If someone is saying it to or about a stranger then that person may take it the wrong way. If it is said to a friend or loved one then they are comfortable enough to know that it is not meant in a derogatory way. But honestly it is never appropriate to refer to someone by the color of their skin whether its black, white, chocolate, brown, burnt, etc. But, white and black do seem to be acceptable in society.

Not really; I have seen in many stories where black people were described as having "chocolate skin." I do not see an issue with it...

it depends, one of my friend said i have a chocolate voice thats hot, so i dont find that offensive, it depends on the context of the phrase or sentence that person is using along with saying "chocolate"

I think naomi is full of drama... she prolly just wanted someone to call her hershy's chocolate instead of chocolate.
smh she seems to be always looking for confrontation

Depends on the context...if said with no malice intended, it wouldn't bother me at all.

It's all about context.......
If an old guy says "I don't trust these dang Chocolate people" that's offensive........
But if a guy says "DAMN look at that FINE chocolate honey over there"......
