There is no doubt that blacks go for basketball and football because they know that there is a much shorter route to the big money. Plus most of the blacks are from the inner-city where there is plenty of room for basketball courts but not so much for baseball. Plus today it seems that the age of players ready to play basketball is getting lower and lower. Baseball seems to be a game that takes a lot of time for players to develop the skills needed to really earn the big contracts. Most players that are good in baseball are in their mid to late 20s and young blacks seem to be impatient and not willing to put in the time needed for baseball. Whites would jump on the basketball bandwagon but most of them do not have the skill set for basketball...
