Would the CIA realistically consider a Special Forces Soldier from the National Guard?
meaning th 19th or 20th SF groups with no "active duty" experience per se (from what i've heard beig an 18 series really has no reserve component as even the guardsmen are frequently deployed) for a position as a special agent?
any help welcomed, please be polite and respectful, thank you:)

Sure I think they would. While active duty experience would really help, the training holds some weight. Being part of any SF community is noteworthy and it would help. Back that with a college degree and you could be considered based on other factors as well. There is no specific "special agent" job. You can apply for Operations officer or one of a few other positions in the Clandestine service. You may want to look into the DOD's positions in paramilitary operations they will take more ex-military personnel where as the CIA is primarily civilian.

the CIA doesnt have "special agents", thats a term used for law enforcement positions
i.e. Secret Service special agent, FBI special agent, NCIS special agent, etc
i believe youre looking to be a paramilitary operations officer at CIA, which is great.. and yea why not, theres no rule stating one *must* have active duty experience as a Guardsman, but realistically speaking, the CIA generally recruits from SEALs, Delta Force, Rangers, etc who have combat experience
thats not to burst your bubble, just letting u know what youd be going up against competitively
good luck
