Were you a fan of the way Cm Punk treated the "fat guy" who was booing him?

Hardly ever do we see wrestlers single out an individual fan like that in the WWE. Sure, it happens during house shows, but that's one of the first times I've seen someone call out a fan like that on a live program.

Punk laid into that guy, hard. The live audience obviously enjoyed it as there were serious cheers and "Cm Punk" chants right afterwards.

So, what did you think of Punk... punking (get it) that fan? Did you think he crossed the line? Or did you find it funny?

Feel free to answer from a kayfabe or non-kayfabe perspective.

The fatrguy should have come into the ring and decked Punk. That would have been entertaining.

At first I was thinking it was just a WWE plant where Punk would just start beating him down & then Heyman would come out with Lesnar an get Punk

To tell the truth I was wishing for that,

But I guess it just proves Cena a better man as he gets boo all the time from some fans & he just what ever

I didn't see Raw, WWE might be unhappy with what Punk did, I don't care how Punk reacts to the fan!

There are two ways to view it, if the guy was there and just being a little vocal, and enjoying the show, he has every right to do that, and people might think Punk crossed a line!

The other way to view it Punk was frustrated with the guy, and lost his cool, no big deal!

I think this was a different way to interact with fans. It gave the promo more personality. I bet the fan in the crowd really felt involved and enjoyed his 15 seconds of fame. It was a bit funny. Straight out calling someone "fatso" is pretty disrespectful. The crowd was obviousley behind him which seemed to be enough. Although I heard a be a star commercial for WWE play after that and I chuckled to myself.

If you have seen his work in ROH that's what he used to do all the time it felt like an attitude era moment I bet that fan as a plant by WWE anyway I don't think they would go that far.

  • That "fat guy" was a WWE plant. In other words, that was meant to happen. CM Punk is a heel what do heels do? talk trash and especially talk trash to the crowd even if it's to some random person.

As for what I think of CM Punk, he is FREAKING amazing. I can hear him talk for hours!

The "fat guy" was probably paid to take the abuse.

Yes, I enjoyed it because it was funny. It made Punk's anger more real and identifiable.

I personally missed it, but it wouldnt surprise me, so I wouldnt say I am a fan of it. I regularly watch old ECW tapes, so I see stuff like that all the time.

Yes it was funny, people wanted the attitude back then they started complaining, and that guy was probably in on it it and even he was laughing.

Oh I just read he wasn't a plant but still it was funny.
