You baked it too short a time at too high a temperature. Lower your temperature by 50 degrees and add 10-15 minutes to your cooking time.

Fixing it might be difficult but you could use it in another dish with pretty good success.

Make banana bread french toast. (the thin slices and extra stove top step will cook the raw parts )

Cut the burnt part off the banana bread.

    Cut into 1/2 inch slices

Make custard with 3 eggs and 1 cup cream (or half and half) plus 1 tsp vanilla

Heat a pan over the stove on medium- medium low heat until hot but not smoking

Add small amount of oil to pan and dip banana bread into custard for 5 seconds on each side. And add to pan and cook till nicely browned

Serve with your favorite french toast topping. I prefer butter and syrup.

What rack did you bake it on? Bake on the center rack. In case you did that and et your oven at the correct temp then purchase an oven thermometer and set the oven to 350. If the thermometer reads one more temp then you must alter the temp hence.

Oven temperature too high. Bake cooler and longer.

Oven too hot; batch/pan too large. One or both.
