Teens: Are you pro-choice or pro-life?

What is your opinion on abortion and which is your stand? I'm pro-choice btw, but I'm here to do some kind of a survey. Detailed explanation will be greatly appreciated.

    I'm pro-choice. I used to be pro-life when I was younger but as I grew up I realised that life isn't always as simple and easy and when my close friend had an abortion it made me realise that I was pro-choice too. I believe that it's the woman's body and it's her choice and while some people might say that adoption is the best part as both mum and baby get a life, you can't force somebody to carry a baby for 9 months and then just give it away and you don't know the circumstances or the situation and not every child gets adopted or lives in a nice care home and I just think if you are not ready to have a baby and you don't want one then don't have one. I don't think however that abortion should be used as a mean for contraception.

    Good luck with the survey xoxo

    Pro-choice. I agree with everyone pointing out how most pro-lifers are just pro-birth and stop caring after the child is born. I also don't see many pro-lifers trying to adopt all the children growing up unloved and in poverty because a female had the rights to her body taken away. I also don't agree with the 'abortion should only be legal if ___' logic. A trial to convict a rapist would take at least 6 months to go through, and even then a huge number of rapists are let free. So what they're saying is it is fine to have a late term abortion and kill a baby and possibly the mother considering how dangerous an abortion would be at that point, but it it murder to abort a 6 week old, hardly developed foetus.

    It saddens me that so many people are pro-choice. A fetus is still a human with his/her entire life ahead of her/him. It's awful, cruel, and inhumane to not give them a chance at life, just because they were an accident or are unwanted. You shouldn't be able to choose to kill someone who is INNOCENT. I know abortion IS very traumatizing for the mother, and a severely hard decision to make, but it almost seems like the easy way out. I've never had to deal with the situation, but to me it just seems like "oh, I don't want this baby, let's just abort it". Not "let's give her/him up for adoption" or "try to raise him/her the best I can". It's like you're putting no effort into someone having a life. It almost seems selfish. I understand that there are very sensitive scenarios, such as rape, but the baby could at least be put up for adoption. The only time that abortion is justifiable is when the mother's life is in danger. Obviously you don't want to risk both the baby and the mother dying, just to save the baby. I know I have very strong, unpopular opinions when it comes to abortion, and I'm not trying to offend anyone and say that they are a bad person if they have had an abortion, these are just my beliefs.

    Pro-choice.

    It's the girl body and she have a say what she wants to do to it. It's not your or anybody else's life so they should just stfu. So I guess if a 13 year old gets pregnant she has to keep the baby? That's a no. There are many other girls in other countries that are forced to have kids. This world is already overpopulated. Though if you keep getting abortions like all the time then you obviously need to keep your legs closed or use a condom. If you were raped ( May god hope not ) all the time it's fine, but you need help or protection.

    That's where I stand I don't care if pro-life or pro-choice people don't like it. It's my opinion and that's what I think.

    @TheTheni...

    There is something wrong with that point. 3 month baby? Um you do realize that some women get it before it becomes a baby ( Like the fetus ). The fetus is not a baby it's still an egg. Though hey it's your opinion.

    I'm Pro-Choice.

    For those, not just on Yahoo Answer, who claim to be Pro-Life, are they really Pro-Life or just Pro-Birth? This person brought up an interesting point when discussing Pro-Life. Since most Pro-Lifers tend to be Conservative I wounder how many of them are as exactly as Sister Joan describes.

    Sister Joan told Bill Moyers: “But I do not believe that just because you're opposed to abortion that that makes you pro-life. In fact, I think in many cases, your morality is deeply lacking. If all you want is a child born but not a child fed, not a child educated, not a child housed, and why would I think that you don't? Because you don't want any tax money to go there. That's not pro-life. That's pro-birth. We need a much broader conversation on what the morality of what pro-life is.”

    Pro-choice.

    I don't condone abortion. I think it's morally wrong. However, just because something is morally wrong doesn't mean it's legally wrong, and I say that it is still the woman's choice.

  • Pro choice as long as it's early.

    I am pro-choice, because I do not believe in forcing a woman to carry a child for 9 months against her own will. I do not think it is any of the government's business what women do with their bodies. I don't like abortion, I think it's sad, but if I was raped I would probably get one, and I think everyone should have the choice to not have a child if they do not want one. I don't think people should be like "heyyy abortions awesome people!" because, it's not, it's sad to kill a baby, but honestly they are a fetus and know nothing of the world, not even love, so they haven't lived their life.... don't give more rights to a fetus than to a woman who has been living and loving and hurting for years.

    That is my stance.

    I'm pro-choice. I really dislike how being against abortion is called "pro-life", by the way. I mean, people who are pro-choice aren't for the death of babies. I think it should be just anti-abortion.
