Is it legal to make and sell My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic plushies?
I know that just over a year ago, there was a very prominent plushie maker who made and sold MLP plushies, but Hasbro found out and shut her down under threat of legal action.
Is it legally safe to make and sell them now that a year has passed?

We must assume that the trademarks and copyrights are still in place, thus it is illegal to the make and sell those trademarked items. To do so is a form of stealing.

Technically, yes. Though it seems many do it anyway. Common sense dictates that Hasbro would likely send at least one (maybe more, idk) Cease and Desist notifications before taking any legit legal action, because they don't want to spend all that money on a lawsuit over a handful of toys if they don't have to, so I'd assume you'd be relatively safe (you know, other than being forced to shut down if you don't want to be sued). If you do go through with it and you do get a C&D, just do it. It's not worth the risk.
