How to keep UGGS Bailey Button from flopping down.?

I just got mine today and I love them(am planning to wear in the fall and winter). I read some reviews online, and some people say that after a week or so one of the flops starts to flop down. What should I do to prevent this?? http://www.uggaustralia.com/women-boots/bailey-but...

The button probably flops down because the threads become loose. Re-enforce the button by sewing though the button holes (over the existing thread). This works best with a thicker thread though any matching thread will do.

You could also try sewing/attaching a stronger button on the inside of the shoe and threading through both buttons at the same time (causing the inside button to support the weight of the outer one).

It could be that the fabric/structure of the boot is too weak/flimsy to support the button for very long.

Either way, a skilled cobbler (or maybe even a seamstress) can fix this problem.

I have also heard you can paint clear fingernail polish over the button to help keep the threads from coming loose (I have never tried this trick. It may ruin the fabric of the boot over time.).
