There is no ritual to become a Hindu and there is no ritual for leave Hinduism.
Because Hinduism don't believe in religious conversion. It is not a religion , It is a way of life.
If it is a religion then it should have particular founder.

There is no conversion per se. It all depends on what you understand Hinduism to be. If you have a liking for a particular Avatar or god, you can take up the worship. If you are inclined to spirituality, you can meditate. If you go to ISKCON, they will give you a new identity and you might feel you have converted enough. If you like all the colorful festivals, make some Indian friends. They are always welcoming!
Once you understand that that life has a purpose, and that there is definitely good and evil and that you have to choose good and that you easily learn choosing good and rejecting evil from those who know how (satsang - company of righteous people) --you can say you have understood Hinduism and that effectively makes you a Sanatan dharmi or Hindu whatever you want to call it. You do not need to give up the identity that you have now unless you fancy one, do not need to severe family ties and do not need to fill yourself with any hoagwash. The idea is to find the truth and the truth, my friend, will set you free.

Practically it takes a second. All you have to do is to detach yourself from what you seek to turn away from.
Though it is suggested that you should be well read though.
For starters I would recommend:
www.agniveer.com
Dr, David Frawley
Vivekananda
Devdutt Pattnayak ( this is more on science behind symbolism in Hinduism)
Once you are a little well read, go to your local court and get the paperwork done. If you fancy choosing a new name, take out a Sanskrit Dictionary and explore.
All the best.

There is " Conversion" ritual in Hindu Religion.
If one has a strong " Faith" in Hindu Religion, one becomes a Hindu automatically.
Hindu is a Religion -Not a way of life.
One can approach Ramakrishna Mission ( branches are there all over the World)-- Google-- and
Find the nearest Center--Take their advice.
Start with Hindu VEDHANTHA-- it is very " SOULFULL"--
" Vedhantha is the most Impressive Metaphysics the Human Mind has conceived"-- Professor
Alfred North Whitehead--British Philosopher.
