What if Christians didn't hate homosexuals?

Well, your premise is stupid to begin with, because Christians (i.e. BIBLICAL Christians) don't hate homosexuals! And because your premise is wrong, so is your conclusion.

But what if atheists and homosexuals didn't hate God? How different would THAT make our world look?

If everybody was white, then the Germans and the Irish would be going at it. The Problem is not Christians. I've never met a Christian who hated gays. As a conservative Christian who disagrees with homosexuality and holds to Traditional American values, I have no problem talking or carrying on a conversation with a homosexual. I think they hate my religion way more than I have any resentment for them. To be honest the gay community and the Atheist communities are not that important to most Christan's. We do not go to bed at night thinking about you.

I don't know what the issue is. Gays have been allowed to do what they want for a long time. No body is kicking down their doors or anything. How would it be if Christians didn't hate homosexuals? Exactly the way it is now.

Those who claim that Christians hate homosexuals because homosexuality is sin is like claiming they hate the philosopher and not the philosophy. People, even Christians, can hate the philosophy but not the philosopher. This is the case in Christianity. A true Christian will never hate the sinner (the philosopher) but will always hate the sin (the philosophy) because it is the sin that separates the person from God. As a result, the person may never know God.

I'm a christian, And I don't hate gays, I don't even dislike them. In fact, My best friend is bi, My brother is gay, And I have two grandma... I could careless. But Too answer your question, The church would change... You know the HUGGGE thing about gays being able to be married in the church? Well. The problem with it that most people have is because, The church? They created marriage. With a man, And a women.. So, Changing it, Would cause them to change there believes, Which would change there region. But what I think the could do, Personal, Is get married, With out calling it marrying. Rent a park, Go to the beach, Where ever, Get your mom/ Dad/ Best friend who ever to bless you, Say the vows, Kiss, And who ever wants to be there, Comes. There should get alll the married taxes, And stuff like that. They should be able to wear a ring on there left finger, All of that. I don't hate homosexuals. In fact I was one for several years. Yet, I have been made a new creation by His love.

PS. And really it gets a lot of hype these days. Homosexuality. Yet, it is plain and simple God's views on it. It is a choice, a very hard one, but Life is made up of choices. Yet, His love heals and saves. It will make you anew. I just felt I had to say that for someone.
