Because it is true, Russia is a homophobic country and the gays in that country are being treated with brutality.

Didn't you see what happened to them at the gay protestations in russia? Angry russian (or should i say homophobic russian) attacked all the pro-gay protestors. BLOOD EVERYWHERE man, check out the news

Because they passed a law banning public displays of homosexuality. That pretty much sums up my definition of a homophobic country.
