If we went to war with Syria, would it be conventional or an isurgency?

we aren't going to war with syria we are going to eventually attack them with the naval fleet we have on their coast that have targets on specific government run areas but other than that and maybe a few go arounds with fighter jets we aren't going to war. even if we did it would be not be conventional or an insurgency because in order for it to be conventional warfare no chemical weapons or gas can be used but if the syrian government is willing to use chemical warfare on their own civilians i'm sure they are willing to use it on any enemy forces from another country coming to destroy the current government.

the thing is going to war with syria wouldn't be like the war in afghanistan where those that we helped trained that were pro government ended up stabbing us in the back and didn't have uniforms, the issue in syria is with the current assad government and the syrian army fighting rebels and since we have already been supporting the rebel forces from a far if we ever went to war with syria it would be our government against their government and there would be a legitimate reason to go to war now unlike iraq because now it is confirmed syria is being chemical weapons from iran and iran is using syria as a testing grounds and has also made several threats to use chemical weapons against us so we would have a real purpose in syria and then eventually that would lead us to war with iran but i doubt we actually go to war with syria eventually we will go to war with iran though.

they are no threat to americans at the moment.

but they would be alot more dangerous than Iraq if we tryed to "FREE" them
