How much money could you get from the precious metals in your average cell phone or computer?

Just a guess but probably about a $1.50. There is not a lot in there.
Some CPU's and components have gold coated connectors which are worth more, so maybe you could get $5.75 or so out of it then. Gold leaf is very thin so there is not a lot of it.
