A Poem... (What do ya think?)?

Church, a place where you can leave your humanity behind.

Lurch, from the reality that God lives in our own mind.

Read, all the words that someone long ago wrote down.

Bleed, from the soul that's taken so long to be found.

Live, in the world that all of history has built.

Give, from your heart without the faintest hint of guilt.

Save, all your brothers from the horrors that may come.

Brave, any adversary beating on his drum.

Stand, before those who swear to cause you pain.

Demand, respect and honor from all others who remain.

Grow, within yourself and expand your inner mind.

Know, the place you come from, and to where you will resign.

Tell me what you think about this so far. I'm just tossing around some doo dah. Check it.

I have not encountered a poem where I have rhymes at both ends. Now, I am not a fan of rhymes, as I feel it unnaturally blunts one's ability to express themselves as the author has to force their feelings and emotions into the restrictive format to 'make those rhymes'.

Although I do not like the poem, as the double-ended rhymes make this poem come off as self serving and sing-song, I will give you credit for trying something different with a rather bold experiment.

Experto Credo.... While I adamantly admire your artistic honesty, I also think you may be a tad bit absent-minded. This is a very good poem, so sayeth the author!
