I have three that I admire....
1.....George Washington ( He could have been "king" and refused....could have demanded money but only asked for expenses)
2.....Abraham Lincoln (emancipation proclamation....civil war)
and surprising because I am a Republican....my absolute favorite is Harry Truman.....a democrat (integrated the military.... had the courage to make the tough decisions and take responsibility)

He had the humility and wisdom to step aside after 2 terms and set a precedent.

Teddy Roosevelt and Jefferson- those two really have some fabulous legacies and, more than other presidents, seemed to care about future generations.
