Is the International Space Station the Solution to world peace?

All those Aspiring nations like Iraq, Iran, Libya, Syria and many others

they all will have Scientists... Many would love to be on the station doing some experiment

They would be heroes in their own countries and could inspire future generations of school children

Peace through education, instead of conquest

Please leave all politics and religion behind on Earth

The Exploration of space should be within the reach of all Nations

It might be seen as a Gimmick at first

But if even one Future child thinks first of science instead of war, or hatred for any old and forgotten reason, then it is worth the millions or billions the project would cost

Peace is worth fighting for

In the fight for peace ... no one has to die

Update:

I like Philippe's answer

someone once suggested World leaders thinking of war, should be locked away together instead of a nation going to war. That way the leaders do not sit on some distant hill, while the young are sent off to die.

I like your thinking, but than you have to face the truth. The chances are, that the so called Scientists will be under instructions of their own Governments. The way things stand at present, there is every chance that they will knock the hell out of each other, after a short time together.

No, the best that could happen, is to put those that seek destruction on others into a capsule and send it into space for good.

    Have a nice day.

No, I see the ISS pass overhead often, you cannot miss it in the night sky. It is sad to reflect the U.S. has no launch vehicles to reach the Station and has to hitch rides off Russia to get there.
