Cat food/ slug issue - Help needed!?

Just recently I have been noticing slug trails in my cat's dry food, but the other night I got up in the night to find about 7 huge fat leopard slugs feasting on my cats dinner, please bear in mind that the distance between the kitchen door (where I know they get in) must be about 6 miles for a slug!

I have tried salt under the door but this does not last long, is there a better solution to this problem which will not involve me having to use complicated DIY skills (as I have none!), I am not too bothered about slug death occurring in the process either, the little darlings have scuppered any attempts at growing any thing other than brambles, dock leaves and clover all summer.

My cat has started to refuse her food ( a situation made worse by the fact that my upstairs neighbours are feeding her as well, I'm going to go and have a word about that tonight) I cant blame her as it has been covered in slug goo, so as well as keeping the nasty little bleeders out of the house does anyone know any good ways of making the cats feeding area safe and slug free??

You can try a few things - put the food bowl in a tray where you can put water around it - like a moat. And put a pan of beer outside the door - the slugs will be attracted to that and drown before they get inside. And get a small sturdy table for your cat to jump up and eat her food.

Personally I don't blame the cat for not eating the food - who wants slime on their food???? Yuck! I use salt to kill the slugs.

put the cat food away at night and put down a bowl of beer (or more than one would be better) slugs love beer (im not making this up ). Anyway make sure that the beer is deep so that when the slugs drink the beer the get so drunk the drawn in the beer. You could also put some out side your door to stop them coming in it really works you could also put down slug pellets in your garden

I would like a explanation of this as well from the Christan's Gen GE 7:19-20 19And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. 20Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. Since it rained and rained: Some quick math - The flood covered the earth with 20+ feet above the highest mountains. This would require a steady worldwide rainfall at the rate of about 6"/min, 360"/hour, 8640"/day for 40 days and nights in order to submerge Mt. Everest under 22 ft. of water. Since the water would be brackish and wouldn't support human nor animal life where did they store fresh drinking water on the Ark? Then after centuries and centuries of them on the Ark who would be left on the Ark once the water evaporated? Then how would they live since the ground would be barren since ya know there was 29,000FT of water covering the Earth. There would be no life, no vegetation and the ground would be contaminated from the brackish water.

Put it up on the side or put a shelf up where she can get to the food... Try by the window? Dont leave it on the floor...or put loads of salt outside your door... Inside your door and around the food bowl.xx
