All judges have a lot of power. It's just that the higher up you go in the level of government the greater the impact. Decisions made by the Supreme Court affect everyone. Nothings changed so what brought this on?

Yeah. Pretty much.
This is why I like some of those amendments that Mark Levine is proposing in his new book, The Liberty Amendments.
One of those amendments was that Congress or the States could over rule any Supreme Court decision by a 3/5ths super majority.

Federal judges and supreme court justices SHOULD be above the will of the people. It would be a horrible idea if they were elected because then they'd be subject to the changing whims of an uneducated electorate instead of being able to just make the best interpretation.
Does that mean they aren't biased or feel political pressure? Of course not, but it'd be even worse.
You probably are just mad only because judges aren't doing what YOU like, yet if these judges acted like "kings" or "gods" and passed or blocked something that went along with your political agenda, you'd be fine with it.

We have three branches of government. The Supreme Court doesn't seem to dictate more than the others.

No, but they do have a lot of power, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
