i was messaging my friend in canada, and he said he has never heard of IPA , indian pale ale, beers. Im in california and they are everywhere. are they popular outside of california?

I live in Columbus, OH and IPA'S are pretty popular hear. I've been to Milwaukee, NYC and Atlanta this summer and the same. I've only been to Montreal and Toronto in Canada and didn't get a vibe on any specific beer. I drank a lot of lager and Belgian lambic

Indian pale ales are available here in Chapel Hill, NC. We have so many options available here that it would take a lifetime to sample them all, especially with a new microbrewery popping up every day or so
