Why were we created with such high sex drives?

Why is it we were created with such a high sex drives and a moral conscience? The two seem to be in conflict with one another. Not really interested in hearing from people who have chosen to not have a conscience or throw it out the window as I know very well how to do that on my own and have done it many times. Why is it there is this conflict between fulfilling our cravings and doing what is morally right? Why is the choice so hard? Why are those cravings so strong and uncontrollable? How can a person strengthen themselves to make better decisions when it comes to abstinence?

Aristotle, creator of the lists of moral virtues, did not equate pleasure with poor morals. He would suggest finding a mean between two extremes. The bigger question is finding a satisfying resolution to your equating sex with not having a conscience. Between two consenting adults, there is no lawful or ethical issue.

If abstinence is your choice, then, another Aristotle nugget is that a human "is what they repeatedly do". Just make a habit of abstinence. Studies show that it takes almost a month to form a habit.

High sex drives are because of evolution and morals are a mix of society, community as well as a hint of evolution in the sense that we as people generally don't like to hurt others.

We weren't created, we developed. Evolutionarily speaking, a high sex drive supports the survival of the species. Morality is a human concept. It is not natural. Different cultures and different times have different morality.

Your problem is that you are equating your sex drive with immorality. Sexuality is not immoral. There are immoral ways to *use* sexuality, but your natural sexual drive and feelings are not. We have high sex drives just like every other creature from bacteria that reproduce sexually to fish to dogs, etc. This is because DNA exists to reproduce itself, and we evolved that animalistic drive to reproduce. This doesn't mean you can't control your sexual drive or make responsible decisions about sexuality. Stop torturing yourself. Sexual repression causes all kinds of mischief throughout the world.

Imagine a religion which makes hunger a sin and eating a ticket to hell. Crazy, no? Have all the sex you can with whomever is interested in having sex with you. There is no reason not to.
