Pokemon Red/Blue Tournament?
I need help on choosing a team for a GEN 1 red/blue tournament.
I would like to know what pokemon you think i should use for this tournament and what moveset they should have. I have all final evoltuons at lvl 100 already but if i have to redo them i can train them using pokemon stadium 2 dodrio mode to make em fast. (5 hours to get 1 pokemon to lvl 100)
only gen 1 pokemon and gen 1 moves
no legendary birds, I was not thinking of using the wrap combo with dragonites thunerwave.
my ideal team so far is
jolteon thunerbolt thunderwave sandattack headbutt
charizard earthquake flamethrower fly bodyslam
blastoise surf earthquake icebeam bodyslam
poliwrath surf body slam psychic sesmic toss
alakazam psychic fire ice thunder punch
dragonite hyper beam body slam thunder wave wing attack
some of the moves are from trading to gold/silver then trading back. i think in the tourney that will be ok
edit: my team will probably consist of
charizard earthquake flamethrower body slam fly
blastoise surf earthquake ice beam body slam
alakazam psycic fire ice thunder punch
dragonite hyper beam body slam thunder wave thunderbolt
aerodactyl earthquake hyper beam fly headbutt
tauros body slam hyper beam earthquake horndrill(incase of chansey or something like tghat)
this way i know i have 3 fast guys aero ala tauros
all eletric fire posion types are covered. except for charizard. and since most grass types are part posion (gengar too) i got that covered.
2 pokemon with thunder moves to cover waters which i see dont being to much of a problem although there are more water types in first gen that may be usable.(blast starmie vaporeon)
almost all ground types are also rock so earthquakes got me there also blast. i got three pokemon for flying types. there arent any good bugs so i dont have to worry, same with ghost types. dont have to worry really about fighting types bc i have flyers an

Gen 1 is really different comparative to every other gen, mainly because of the Crit ratio, Hyper Beam's recharge (doesn't if it kills), and Wrap/Fire Spin/Clamp/Etc. being broken.
I'll make you a team if you answer these 2 questions for me
1) Are you allowing Mewtwo and/or Mew? Alongside Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres?
2) Are you allowing Wrap/Fire Spin/Clamp/Etc.?
EDIT:
Well, the team is pretty good for a team not abusing wrap nor using the birds, but there are a few things which I question.
~Poliwrath does close to nothing for the team. Blastoise can accomplish everything he does, and more with his superior move pool. Definatly reccomending another pokemon over Poliwrath. The 2 that would stand out the most would be either Exeggutor, to get a sleep user on the team (and double-psychic is not a problem, considering only Psychic resists it and has virtually no weaknesses), or, more recommended, Tauros, who's able to beat nearly any pokemon 1-on-1 with Blizzard, Earthquake, Body Slam, and Hyper beam.
~Would highly recommend getting a normal resistance or immunity on the team (aka, Gengar, Golem, or Rhydon), as it can be extremely helpful in sending in against hyper beam spammers. These can be in place of Jolteon, who, again, does little for the team. Or, just over Poliwrath.
Course, these are just recommendations. Take them how you like.
