Is it Ironic Democrats support Syria War, Republicans don't?

Update:

0bama wants war in Syria and to use bombs on them, it would pass in the Democrat rule Senate, but not the Repub rule Congress because they know its a lose lose situation and there is no proof of which side used the chemicals- WMD. Yet Iraq war when Sadam used Chemicals-WMD on one million Iraqi's, and was proof and our congress was ruled by Dems and they supported that war too- yet deny it and pretend they didn't. Now Iraq is a mess again and radical jihad are back doing terror and begging for us to help them there-because 0bama sucks as a leader! Liberals are so phony!

If the president was a republican, and white. the republicans would be all in. I know you what to say the democrats are the phony ones here. but the truth is, democrats also supported the war in Iraq. It's a fact republicans love to bring up on this site when it suits their needs. Sure, they were lied to by the Bush administration, and yes, they wanted out before the republicans did. But they did vote for the war. It's the republicans who are showing inconsistency here, not the democrats.

It is neither surprising nor ironic. Both parties have long been supporters of going to war and the US acting as the police force of the world. Clinton used our military no less than George W.

The only thing that is odd is that many liberals THINK they support the party that doesn't go to war. It is difficult to figure out how they could possibly be so blind.

    Par 4,

Your posts are deleted, because they are non-sensical insulting rants that add nothing. In fact, I feel my IQ points lower as I try to make sense of the stupidity that is inherent in everyone of your rants. I wish I could say that your rants are just too stupid to have an effect, but that is not true. I believe the YA team is doing the world a service as your rants hit that special brand of stupid that makes people dumber just reading them.

    Seamus,

You are correct that the dems are not showing inconsistency. They are always happy to go to war.

    Hannibal,

Yes, I noticed that too. When you arbitrarily drop bombs on an area with no real strategic goal in mind (except to "send a message"), that has the tendency the stabilize a location. Plus, there is no chance that this could draw us into a longer war. Its not like we started the Vietnam war with this limited approach. HMMMM. Thanks for the democrat sound bite, now lets get back to reality.

Why does anyone think Republicans have wanted any war? Almost every time we have been dragged in by Democrats and then we have to respond.

Democrat Quotes on Iraq Weapons of Mass Destruction

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."

--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."

--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."

    --Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

    Jan. 23. 2003

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..."

    -- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

    Aug. 26, 2013

"What we saw in Syria last week should shock the conscience of the world," said Kerry. "It defies any code of morality. Let me be clear: The indiscriminate slaughter of civilians, the killing of women and children and innocent bystanders by chemical weapons is a moral obscenity. By any standard, it is inexcusable. And despite the excuses and equivocations that some have manufactured, it is undeniable."

--John F. Kerry (D. Secretary of State), Aug. 26, 2013

Obama wants to use slight of hand to distract the sheep from his scandals

WRONG! Republicans support it only if they get to put their dirty hands on the laid out plan so they get some of the credit.

Obama wants to do a small military strike on Syria, not invade and destabalize the damn place like George W.T.F. Bush did with Iraq
