Is it possible to live without ever having credit?

Such as buying used cars in cash, renting a house,..etc

    It's possible if you have enough cash. Most people don't. But you can live without using credit cards. Been doing that for 26 years. The only thing I take out a loan for is a home or a car. Everything else I save up for and pay cash. The banks don't like me.

    Not really... in theory, maybe in some parts of the world... But you NEED credit if you ever want to make a loan, buy a house, even rent an apartment. Credit serves a lot of purposes, but it mainly acts as evidence towards sellers and service providers that they will receive pay from you.

    hard to buy a house with cash. guess you can rent for a lifetime. some people like a credit card if they have to rent a car or book hotels or airlines, but not necessary.
