Have you ever done anything to anyone that yelled or honked at you while you were running/jogging outside?

It gets on my nerves more than most things.

Back in the 60's and 70's when running was not as popular as now it was common for people to honk, swerve, or even throw things at runners.

When I ran on country roads people would throw beer bottles and cans at me.

Normally you are better off ignoring them since some are nuts or may be drunk, and dangerous.

However, I have thrown things back at their cars a few times which made me feel better at the time.

Yeah, one time I was running a one mile time trial as fast as I could and some guy in a truck deliberately tried to hit me. I flipped him off then He followed me for a bit and was yelling things out his window and throwing stuff at me.

Source(s): I've had lots of instances like that. I need help with my question really badly

Yes, it happens to me too, which is why I'm getting a pepper spray license. People are so stupid, ignore them, and always be aware of your surroundings and where you go.
