There might be a mouse in my room.. HELP.?
So for months my mom has been saying that she has been finding droppings (mice poop) and that we need to clean up better and just make sure if we see it to get it out.
Personally I didn't believe her and thought it was one of her remarks to get everyone to clean more (Cause it's usually only me and her that do.) But then maybe a month or less ago my brother decided to put a mouse trap in his room because he said he saw something in his room before he was going to go to bed. Later that dad, when we came back home from hanging out with a couple of friends there was a baby mouse on the sticky pad. My brother took it off the sticky paper and let it go outside.
My dogs stopped barking at night (I think that's when they saw the mouse and tried to get it, it was always in the kitchen.) so I figured there was no more mice, but the other day my mom called me into the kitchen before she was headed to work (She goes to work around 3-4 am) and she showed me the utensil placer we have next to the stove, and it had poop on it.
Now I went on vacation and I lent my room out to my cousin for the time being, and I came back to the room being a complete mess, my clothes everywhere, scrap papers, my art supplies you name it it's every where. I have been super busy and haven't been able to clean (I was going to today) cause I've been prepping for college. But this morning (3am) I'm walking upstairs (my room is in the basement of the house) and I notice black almost like dots on the stairs, I look closer and its mice poop leading in to a hole in the concrete wall. on the other side of the wall is my walk in closet. I haven't been in there either (again my cousin took so many things out and tossed them back in so it's messy.) There is sheet rock separating the concrete from the closet but there is this opening near the door frame that a mouse could get through there.
What should I do? I'm scared that if I start cleaning the mouse is going to be there, and I will freeze up. and I can't lay don't a trap if there is no room for it on the floor.
Any tips or advise? Should I just clean and if I come across just face it?
Oh and calling pest control wont work, my parents wont pay for it, and I have no money that I can spent on that at the moment.

It's easy, put some super glue on a piece of a carton box, with a piece of cheese on it, and place it on the floor. The next day you'll find the mouse stock on it, did it before and it’s guaranteed to work. Repeat it as much as you like. Good luck :)

Your house is probably almost literally infested with mice. I like mice...I think they are adorable, but you can't mess around here. They will cause all kinds of damage if you don't get off your aÑÑeÑ and address this problem.
Mice reproduce like crazy. A mouse reaches reproductive maturity at about 4 months of age and they live to be about 4 years old in the wild. that means a single mouse can reproduce about 18 times in their lifetime.
So, let's say you have one mouse that has babies, and let's say they have 2. I think they have more, but let's just say it's 2. That means both babies will reach reproductive maturity at about the same time. And let's say each birthing gives 2 more babies. So .....follow along here with this:
2 initial babies
4 months later ----- each gives birth to 2 more babies - 4 babies + 2 original parents
4 months later ----- 8 babies
4 months later ----- 16 babies
.
.
.
etc
So, in one year you will have 18+ mice just from one pregnant female. If you already have more than one mouse then you can double, triple or quadruple these numbers.
Tell your parents.....clean the damn house....pick up all your junk on the floor, put the trash away, wipe everything down, seal all the holes in the foundation of the house, windows, walls, etc, etc.
Put out some standard mouse traps. They are cheap....but about 6 to start. Put either cheese or peanut butter on the pad, set the trap in dark, quiet areas, or ares you see the droppings, and then keep doing this until you get them all.
Don't be a transport for them....don't chauffeur them around, don't make friends with them.....and DON'T use those idiotic sticky pad traps. They are inhumane. Use the standard, normal mousetrap......see the link. It is effective and very fast and humane. Pick it up and throw it away when you catch a mouse in it.
Good luck

Rodents especially mouse are very dangerous for house and other things like; clothes, food, wooden furniture. Here I am including some basic tips to avoid mouse easily from home.
* Seal the possible entries of house like, water exit holes and other holes to stop their incoming.
* Stick the steel wool in mouse holes.
* Keep your house clean.
* Put your trash in cans as far away as possible from home.

i think best would be to use regular mouse trap -so that you at least know when they are caught
there are also some cakes available you mix them with food/dough and mice eats them and die but they die out in all hidden places and may rot
( i hve been in a similar situation once its yukky )

use a cage mousetrap, go to amazon or ebay to find one, and then take out ur barbeque grill and grill some morsel of delicious grill chicken or some other meat. The mouse will then take a trip to the inside of the cage and make sure the cage is of appropriate size.
